Our Mission

We build technology that reduces barriers for people seeking care, strengthens clinic resilience and sustainability, and protects the fundamental right to data privacy.

Because the people holding the line to protect our rights deserve tools that actually work for them and the people seeking care deserve better than the status quo.

We are tired of being left behind. We are reimagining what is and building toward a better future.

we build

Technology for social good and community power.

Supporting abortion access means supporting the people who make it possible and the people seeking it.

Because sustainable clinics mean sustained access to care.

For clinics

Time back, and room to breathe.

Less time on paperwork, fewer tools to juggle, less of the administrative weight that burns staff out. Clinics that aren't stretched thin can keep their doors open, deliver higher quality care, and scale their operations.

For patients

Built for real phones, real connections, real people.

Available in the languages people actually speak, on slow connections and older phones, with forms that work with a screen reader. And privacy is built in, because for a lot of people, feeling safe is the first barrier to getting care.

Our math is different.

We respond to community needs, not the whims of the wealthy.

  • No venture capital pushing us toward an exit.
  • No private equity squeezing the margins.
  • No foundation money steering the roadmap.

The clinics and organizations who partner with us are who we build for, and who we answer to.

We are reimagining what is and building toward a better future for the clinics, patients, and people their model leaves behind.

We believe ...

Core principles that guide every line of code, every feature, every conversation.

Community-Led

You know your communities best

We let you do the talking.

Use your own branding & content for forms and automated messages — you decide what goes out, when, and to whom.

Data Minimization

Principle of Least Privilege

We don't want what we don't need.

We only access the data necessary to power the tech and we minimize metadata collection to only what's essential for system functionality.

Privacy as a Right

Data privacy is a human right

We access almost nothing && encrypt almost everything.

We end-to-end encrypt as much PHI as possible, making it unreadable to anyone outside your clinic, including us.

Accessible Trust

Forms are our love language

Designed with care & trust.

Forms are foundational to care delivery and often the first thing people see when seeking care. We build them to be accessible, trustworthy, and intuitive.

Questions? Ideas? Concerns? Just wanna give us a hug and a high-five?

We built aboboTech with these folks in mind ...

Folks who have to travel and do not have the funds to remain out-of-state for follow up care.

Folks who want privacy but their partner or household has access to phone records or browsing history.

Folks who are afraid of their metadata being collected and being used against them by law enforcement in the future.

Folks who are intimidated by antis protesting outside clinics and feel unsafe returning for medically unnecessary visits.

Folks with limited mobility or other health concerns who find it difficult to leave their households.

Folks who require compassionate care in languages other than English.

about (your) team

aboboTech isn't another tech company; it's a labor of love that stems from a sense of responsibility to do what's right. aboboTech was crafted from the ground up with a deep commitment to patient privacy and accessibility to help indie abortion clinics provide empathetic human-centered care.

Every step of the way, we've listened to feedback from indie clinics, to the voices of the community, and to the insights of industry experts. Long-time industry engineers, cybersecurity experts, HIPAA lawyers, and other fantastic humans have either worked on aboboTech directly or provided input on the product architecture, infrastructure, and direction over the last three years.

To those folks, I share my sincere appreciation. I am proud of what we've built together and am hopeful it will continue to grow and serve to empower even the most vulnerable members of our communities. Together, we're reimagining the status quo and bringing it to life.
